Beltran Translation Agency was initially represented by a group of freelance translators working separately who decided to join forces in 2005. Back in 2006, they founded a legal entity that officially conducted business by offering English to Russian translation services in technical, legal and other fields.
At the early stages, the company focused on doing written document translations as a subcontractor for large translation agencies from the Russian Federation, that acted as general contractors for major oil companies and law firms. Also, one of the key customers was a major translation agency from the USA, whose most important client was a world-famous consulting firm that provided services in cost reduction and production optimization and operations excellence to first-tier Russian banks, major oil and gas companies, market players representing metallurgical, mechanical engineering, automotive and sectors.
Subsequently, one of our key focus areas became the translation of German and English patents to Russian, which is still our key area of translation services today. With almost 20 years of work on the translation services market, our company, which is called Beltran Translation Agency today, has accumulated a huge translation memory base, as well as terminology databases covering all the key areas of Russian translation services provided, including legal, technical and medical translation.
Also, on a subcontract basis, we periodically take part in the translation of texts from English into Russian and Belarusian and vice versa to expand the translation base of the Google Translate tool. Yes, we ourselves are assisting a competitor that offers machine translation services on the market where we provide services based on human translation. Well, life doesn’t stand still, and technologies will sooner or later squeeze us out of this market, but we are still there, because they are not yet good enough to perform high-quality Russian translation at the same level as a human expert with decades of unique experience in this field.
